John L. Schachet, OD
Private practice in Centennial, CO, since 1974; president and CEO of Eyecare Consultants Vision Source; president of Colorado Optometric Association, 1980-81; director and chairman of the board, Colorado Vision Service Plan 1985-1996; lectured widely in US, Australia, New Zealand, Europe, Japan and Canada; authored numerous articles; former adjunct professor at Southern California College of Optometry; contributing editor, Review of Optometry, contributing editor, Optometric Physician, contributing editor, Optometry Times; FDA clinical investigator for many manufacturers from 1974-present. Practice specialties include contact lenses, dry eye – treatment and management, allergy, Corneal Refractive Therapy, refractive surgery and post-cataract management, along with treatment of glaucoma as well as most medical eye conditions. Dr. Schachet is chairman of the SeaVision Optometric Conference, a position he has held since 1994. In addition, he has served on VSP’s National Board committee structure from 2010-2014. Dr. Schachet continues to add “cutting-edge” high tech ophthalmic equipment to help in the diagnosis and treatment of eye disease and conditions. “We pride ourselves in continually staying ahead of the curve.”
Vasi Alevras-Sztukowski, OD
Dr. Alevras-Sztukowski grew up in Southern California. She graduated in 1993 from the University of California, Riverside and obtained her doctorate in Optometry in 1997 from The Southern California College of Optometry. She has been in practice here at Eyecare Consultants since that time. She enjoys cycling and trail running in Evergreen where she resides with her husband Robert. Dr. Alevras-Sztukowski is a member of the Colorado and American Optometric Association. She has a particular interest in specialty contact lenses, glaucoma, and seeing children as patients. She is also an associate clinical investigator for FDA studies in eye care.
William P. Breen, OD
Originally from North Platte, Nebraska, Dr. Breen graduated from the University of South Dakota in 1971. He received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry in 1976. After graduating, he moved to Colorado and has been in private practice in the Aurora area for over 25 years. Dr. Breen is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Colorado Optometric Association.
Jessica Colpitt, OD
Dr. Colpitt was born and raised in Oklahoma. She received a bachelors degree in Biological Science and Zoology from the University of Oklahoma, and graduated cum laude from Northeastern State Oklahoma College of Optometry. After optometry school she went on to complete a residency in primary eye care and ocular disease at the VA Hospital in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Dr. Colpitt loves being involved in the community and has participated in many events providing free eye exams to those in need, including special Olympians, tornado victims, two optometric mission trips to Roatan, Honduras, and Von’ Vision Day – sponsored by Von Miller, providing eye exams and glasses for Denver area children. She participated in Blondes vs Brunettes Denver 2016 – an event which raised over $150,000 for the Alzheimer’s Association. She is also an InfantSEE provider. Dr. Colpitt received her Fellowship in the American Academy of Optometry in 2015. She is also a member of the American Optometric Association and the Colorado Optometric Association. She enjoys yoga, skiing, hiking, cooking, and attending sporting events. At Eyecare Consultants, she provides care to patients from infancy to 100+ years old. She specializes in ocular disease including glaucoma, diabetic eye exams, macular degeneration, dry eye disease, and keratoconus, including specialty contact lens fittings.
